1980. Its purpose is to provide
integrated services for the developmentally disabled adult.

The Children:
A
not-for-profit corporation organized through the Office of the Mayor, Shelby
County, Tennessee in 1987. Its purpose
is to attack the root causes of poverty.
The
Elkhorn Land & Historical Trust:
A
land and historic trust established in 1988 by a group of private citizens with
the support of the Scott County Planning Commission. Its purpose is to preserve open space along
the Elkhorn Creek.
New
Futures for Dayton Youth:
Initiated
through an experimental grant from the Anne Casey Foundation in 1988. Its purpose is to adjust systems -- schools,
health, human services agencies, criminal justice, and other major actors -- to
produce more favorable outcomes for young people.
