height:298.5pt' TEXT="#080000" bgproperties=fixed background=0448dfc3.jpg> <div> <p class=MsoNormal><i>Advisement</i><span style='font-family:Arial; color:black'> </span></p> </div> <div> <p class=MsoNormal>The School Nurse Credential program faculty believe that the best educational opportunities can be provided at CSUN through a faculty - student team approach.  Advisement will assist you to complete the program and to prepare you for future work in the School Nursing field.   </p> </div> <p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p> <div> <p class=MsoNormal><i>Advisement Preparation</i></p> </div> <div> <p class=MsoNormal>Prior to your first academic advisement meeting the following should be obtained:</p> </div> <div> <p class=MsoNormal>1.  Students must be admitted to CSUN in order to obtain formal advisement;</p> </div> <div> <p class=MsoNormal>2.  Students should schedule a minimum of three (3) advisement sessions during their academic careers, one in the beginning, one midway, and one at the end of their programs;</p> </div> <div> <p class=MsoNormal>3.  For visits with your advisor, you should bring the following:</p> </div> <div> <p class=MsoNormal><img border=0 width=24 height=16 id="_x0000_i1026" src="file:///E:\Symb075c00b700f000000000.png" align=bottom>Letter of Acceptance into CSUN.  This comes with a file number;</p> </div> <div> <p class=MsoNormal><img border=0 width=24 height=16 id="_x0000_i1027" src="file:///E:\Symb075c00b700f000000000.png" align=bottom>Letter from CSUN Credential Preparation Office accepting student into the School Nurse Credential Program;</p> </div> <div> <p class=MsoNormal><img border=0 width=24 height=16 id="_x0000_i1028" src="file:///E:\Symb075c00b700f000000000.png" align=bottom>Copy of a current active and valid California RN License;</p> </div> <div> <p class=MsoNormal><img border=0 width=24 height=16 id="_x0000_i1029" src="file:///E:\Symb075c00b700f000000000.png" align=bottom>Copy of a current CPR card;</p> </div> <div> <p class=MsoNormal><img border=0 width=24 height=16 id="_x0000_i1030" src="file:///E:\Symb075c00b700f000000000.png" align=bottom>Copy of the Preliminary School Nurse Credential;</p> </div> <div> <p class=MsoNormal><img border=0 width=24 height=16 id="_x0000_i1031" src="file:///E:\Symb075c00b700f000000000.png" align=bottom>Copy of all transcripts (unofficial or opened is acceptable); and</p> </div> <div> <p class=MsoNormal><img border=0 width=24 height=16 id="_x0000_i1032" src="file:///E:\Symb075c00b700f000000000.png" align=bottom>Copy of foreign transcript evaluation (as needed).</p> </div> <div> <p class=MsoNormal>4.  Entering students are encouraged to enroll in the following classes:</p> </div> <div> <p class=MsoNormal><img border=0 width=24 height=16 id="_x0000_i1033" src="file:///E:\Symb075c00b700f000000000.png" align=bottom>HSCI 475 - Principles of School Nursing Practice;
