California State University, Northridge exists to enable students to realize their education and career goals while acquiring knowledge and competencies necessary for a successful life in a changing, interdependent world. To meet the University's mission, the Master of Public Health Program in Health Education mission is:
To successfully promote the development of professional health educators and researchers to enhance the general health and well-being of the greater community. It is through such promotion that the graduate student will be prepared to identify and assess the needs of communities; plan, implement and evaluate programs to address those needs; and otherwise assure conditions, which protect and promote the health of the community.
