In July and August, 2001, Sue and Gene went to South Korea. The first three weeks of their trip were spent touring the four areas of South Korea indicated by red arrows on the map above. The next week was spent at the 2001 Jimmy Carter Work Project in Taegu, South Korea, and the last week of their trip was in Beijing, China. The 2001 Jimmy Carter Work Project and Beijing, China are shown on different web pages. The picture below is of Gene and Sue with some South Korean children at the National Museum in Kyongju, South Korea. The children practiced speaking to us in English. |
