FALL COLORS TRIP TO NEW ENGLAND

OCTOBER, 2002

Because Sue and Gene spent their careers as teachers, they were never free during
the fall season to travel east to see the display of fall colors that is absent in
California. Finally, in the fall of 2002, being free from making lesson plans and
grading papers, they found time to make the long-anticipated trip to New England.
They traded their timeshare week in Palm Springs for a week in Stowe, Vermont,
and were on their way. The picture below is of Sue on the porch of their timeshare
unit in Stowe, a one-bedroom unit on the first floor. The picture was taken on the
last day of their stay, just as the foliage was reaching it peak in color intensity.

The two photo pages below show the fall colors and describe
some of the experiences of Gene and Sue in New England.
