You are allowed to login quiz questions only one time. Make
sure that nothing will interrupt you

is not cumulative or comprehensive.
Objective:
To acquaint the students with the principle and the methods of reporting
and forecasting weather based on weather maps, satellite and radar images,
as well as the MOS package provided by the National Weather Service.
In order to achieve the objective aforementioned, the course introduces to
students the fundamental and advanced scientific principles which govern
the behavior of weather and climatic variability. Besides, the course prepares
students with the skill and the knowledge of accessing and interpreting weather
and climatic information which may be useful in their fields of specialization

1. 3 quizzes (in Quiz icon): 50 points each, total 150 quiz points.
2. A writing paper of 2,500 words+ on a given subject (ENSO, for example)
or a combination of several papers on different weather
subjects that
contains 2500+ words in total. Please click
Paper Submission icons on Homepage for details. It is a credit
worth
10 points
Criteria for the
Assignment of
Your course grade will be ranked by the total points (160) you have earned:
A and A-: top 20% of the class
B+, B, and B-: next
25% of the class
C+ and C: next 50% of the class
C- and lower: next 5% of the class
The instructor will make an
adjustment of grading scale based on the class
performance.

Students with Disabilities: Students with disabilities must register
