SENECA, Phaedra

Outline

Seneca, PHAEDRA. Note the many and considerable differences between the play of Euripides and that of Seneca, especially the absence of Artemis and Aphrodite, the inversion of the order of the death of Hippolytus (line ) and that of Phaedra (line 1208). This makes possible the confrontation between husband and wife which fills Act V.
