Personal Annotations: This is Huntgen and a typical Huntgen road--all mud and no bottom--we worked here a long time--prior to the Roer River crossing.

Personal Annotations: This was put up by one of the group outfits-- we were in reserve on the Roer crossings-- we were to play a big part on the Rhine but the Remagen Bridge changed it and undoubtedly saved beaucoup lives. This bridge was put up on what was known as 88 alley (88 applying to 88 mm gun--fast and accurate).
