I'd forgotten to tell her
of course this is the center
I'm holding together:
the blown engines, the misplaced books.
I'm 30 with a small 24-hour
library and wrecking yard to my credit--
women as old with nothing more
could lower their standards,
try something that's been passed up
a thousand times,
but they don't.
