A simplified version follows:

Literacy Portfolio
Due: Wed. Feb 13

Task:
1.Collect 3-4 artifacts from your life as a reader and writer. You may include papers from your classes last semester, a copy of the cover of your favorite novel or a print out from Amazon.com, articles from favorite magazines, letters you’ve written roreceived, whatever you feel represents you as a reader and writer. Place these artifacts in a pocket folder.

2.In your journal, write about each of these artifacts, the memories they bring to the surface, the changes they reflect. This is rough, impressionistic writing, about capturing ideas, memories, and impressions. We will do more with this later. Be prepared to share your artifacts and writing in small groups on Wed.
