This I Believe
I believe our heath system has cancer. A cancer that
possesses doctors to provide less time for each patient visit. A
cancer that accepts people with no sense of privacy as front desk
employees. A cancer that feeds on the heath of a misinformed people.
The cure for such a cancer is reform. Pharmaceutical companies must
be controlled. The FDA needs to open its mind and stop stuffing cash
in its back pockets. The FDA also needs to declare fast food toxic and
put a surgeon general's warning each big mac box. There are actually
hundreds of issues the FDA could tackle about now. Where did they go?
Food Born Illness terrifies this nation time and again and the FDA is
never anywhere to be found. It's as if they're not sure what their job
is anymore. They shelter consumers so much that it is hard for an
American to find truely fresh, safe, unprocessed, produce. We don't
have
healthy food on our shelves, look at the statistics, we're fat and
getting cancer. It's almost as if the FDA declared a war on health.
Since I have no money to bribe the FDA, I'll non-violently substitute
the phrase "health care" with "sickness business" until they can
provide,
at every grocery store across the nation, a nice organic tomato grown
here in America, along with illegalizing the charging of people money
to
become a human guinea pig trying synthetic chemical compounds not found
in nature and laying in wait to become the next statistic of an adverse
side-effect.
