F-daddy99 says, "ok, he is saying, in the world, there is good and bad, good and evil...everywhere we go there is a good side and an evil side, look at our city for example, in northridge, there is a great neighborhood around the school, but once u pass the freeway and go on the other side, it is not as good a neighborhood. the net is just like that, there are imaginary boundaries that can be crossed and before you kno it, u might be in a bad place, it is simpliy comparing wat we have in real life to wat we experience on the net"

F-daddy99 says, "i think by saying silicon valley, he is giving a comparison to the internet because silicon valley is the epitome of technology in the US, so the faces on the net is the people on the internet r so young and they are vulnerable to expericencing hte bad parts of wat the net has to offer"
prncess says, "i think hes saying the yound people are being more so starting to be corrupted by the net and as time goes on its gonna be so bad its gonna be like poor neighborhoods"

prncess says, "and like we discussed last class.. silicon valley is like a village with community and togetherness.. but the internet is figuratively "on the other side" where there is no sense of closeness"

F-daddy99 says, "wat the metaphor/analogy is: look at the kids in america on the net, they are so young and they have access to the web which is littered and things that are so bad"

He is not saying that everyone is getting currupted and their starting off so young. I think he means that there are different roads everyone can take, in life and on cyberspace. We have to take it as it comes. Cyberspace is just a new way to connect to other places besides the area you are in now."
