Do you have trouble opening multiple Acrobat (.pdf) documents?

I did. The solution might be as simple as switching your Web Browser from Microsoft Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox.

I know that a student had the same problem I did, namely: Windows XP Home running on a PC, a dial-up internet connection using MSN, and using the Internet Explorer browser that came with Windows XP. Sometimes, under these conditions, when clicking on a second, third, or fourth Acrobat .pdf file, the page would not load and the browser would sometimes "freeze".

I switched to the new and free browser, Mozilla Firefox 1.0 and have not had the problem of opening multiple .pdf files occur. You might want to give this new browser a try. It can be downloaded for free at mozilla.org.

The Firefox browser is also supposed to have better security and pop-up ad blocking than Internet Explorer as well, although I have tried such features.

When trying the new Browser, you can initially set it up so that it is not the default browser on your computer. That way if it doesn't work out you don't have to keep using it and can go back to the previous browser you were using. When I loaded Firefox, I did not have it import any of the settings ("Do not import anything" option) from Internet Explorer, however it did correctly pick up my MSN internet connection information such as the phone number, username and password - so that made the installation easy. I've heard other computer savy people sing the praises of the Mozilla Firefox browser as well.
