My name is Jim Cowger, and I have been in the Los Angeles Church of Christ for 6+ years. Your entire letter sounded like a whole bunch of wining.... I am sorry ... I don't know what the entire story behind your leaving the church is ... but your letter pointing out the LA Church's imperfections does not alter my belief in God or the church. CAN YOU FIND ANYTHING IN THIS WORLD THAT IS UTTERLY 100% PERFECT? Neither can I ... but I know some people's hearts try. This church is the only spiritual body that has the majority of "spiritually on-the-right track" hearts of anywhere else. Something else ... not until I had been in the church for 4.5 years, did I find a girlfriend. I have an extremely grotesque past... so I can understand how God had to change a lot of characteristics in my life before He was ready for me to meet my now-current WIFE.
