I will be presenting a paper in La Paz in Baja California for an academic conference about the border.

March:
      2: Extra Credit Night: Go to the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Los Angeles and see the film        "One Man's Hero". This is a fundraiser for the For Chicana/o Studies Foundation. Tix will be $15 at the door. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. with music from Ireland and Mexico. Write a report on the movie and the evening. I will be presenting a paper at the National Association For Chicana/o Studies Conference in Portland Oregon (www.naccs.org). From there I will go to Miami, Florida for the Winter Music Conference, a gathering of the international dance music industry (www.wmcon.com).
