1.  Is Homework important to children’s development?
    Yes, homework is very important because it allows children to review concepts that have been learned.  Homework gives the child the practice needed to master skills that will serve as foundation builders in the future.


2.  Is Daily Reading recommended?

    Yes, daily reading increases a child’s fluency and enables a child to increase their vocabulary.     


3.  Why is Art important in a classroom?
    Art can become very important because through it, children learn other ways to express themselves in manner they might be more successful.  It also might give them a way to release stress in a productive manner.

4.  What should I give my child for Breakfast?
    Children need a substantial breakfast to get a good start.  Ideas could vary from combinations of cereal, juice, milk, eggs, waffles, and their daily dose of vitamins.

5.  If my child feels overly Sad or Upset, whom can I talk to?
    The school provides services from a psychologist who is always available to parents, students and teachers.
   
6.  How can I help my child if I do not speak English?
    Sharing family stories, listening to what he has to say, spending time reading together, encouraging discussions, and always making him feel important and special.

7.  How can I get in contact with the principle, teacher or nurse?
    Please feel free to call the school site or walk in the office to make an appointment.
   
8.  Is Attendance really important and why?
    Attendance is crucial because everyday we learn important building skills that children need practice in.  Children are exposed to make activities that involve them in the learning process.  If the child is absent, he is missing out!
   
9.  How can I Motivate my child in the learning process?
    You can motivate your child by helping him with his homework, giving him opportunities to read and write, and making him see how much he is learning in school.

10.  What type of Discipline does the school recommend?
    Be consistent and have a set of rules that children will feel comfortable with.  Discipline is very important in learning to learn!
