Family Focus Resource Center
(Serving the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys)

The Family Focus Resource Center (FFRC) is an information, referral, support and education organization serving families of infants with at-risk for developmental delays, children and adults with developmental disabilities, and professionals that care for them in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys.

The FFRC is housed at the Northridge campus of the California State University, in the College of Education. The staff works with the faculty and students to promote awareness in the community and education system of children and adults with special needs. The FFRC collaborates with the North Los Angeles County Regional Center for the Developmentally Disabled, the Los Angeles Unified School District and the Special Education Local Planning Area (SELPA) of the Santa Clarita Valley to provide timely referrals for assessments or resources.

The FFRC provides educational seminars and training programs to parents, children, adults and professionals, support groups in English and Spanish, an extensive library and data base program of local resources, a resource directory for infants and toddlers, parent-professional collaboration trainings, and transition support throughout the life span. Calls are returned in both English and Spanish. Some highlights of the Family Focus Resource Center are:
