The College of Humanities is the second largest college at California State University, Northridge. There are seven departments located within the College: Asian American Studies, Chicano/a Studies, English, Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures, Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Women's Studies. The College is also home to six interdisciplinary programs: Central American Studies, Classics, Humanities, Jewish Studies, Liberal Studies, and Linguistics. The College offers twelve Bachelor degrees, four Master degrees, and 16 minor programs to approximately 3,700 students. The College plays a fundamental role in the university's general education program.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, California State University, Northridge has made crime statistics available on-line at www-admn.csun.edu/publicsafety/police/crimereport.htm. Reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by CSUN, and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus, during the last three years, are included. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault and other safety matters. Print copies are available in the library, and by request from the Office of Public Safety and the Office of Faculty Affairs.
