1 cup lentils 1 teaspoon(tspn.) salt 1 tspn. turmeric powder

1/3 cup onion, chopped 1 clove garlic 3 cup water

In a separate saucepan, fry onions and garlic until they are slightly brown. When the lentil is done boiling, add the fried onions and garlic and cook for 2 minutes.
Serve with boiled rice or bread.

1 chicken 2 tspn. ground ginger 2 tspn. ground garlic 1/2 cup onions, chopped 3 cardamoms

2 cinamon sticks 1/2 cup yogurt 1/3 cup ghee 1 tblspn. raisins salt as needed

In a saucepan combine all ingredients except for raisins. Cover pan, cook over moderate heat for 10 minutes, then over low heat for 40 minutes.
When oil separates from gravy, add raisins. Keep over a very low heat for a few minutes.

1/2 tspn. chilli powder 3 cardamoms 2 cinamon sticks 2 tblspn. oil 1 onion chopped salt as needed

Cut chicken in pieces. Add chicken, cardamom, and cinamon sticks to the fried spices and onions. Fry until oil separates from the chicken. Add enough water to just cover the chicken and cook for halF an hour in low heat. When chicken is boiled, remove from heat.

1 tspn chilli powder 1/2 cup onions, chopped 3 cardamoms 3 cinamon sticks 1 bay leaf 2 medium sized potatoes, cubed salt as needed

Add the meat and fry for about 4 mins, stirring constantly. Then add potatoes and enough water to cover meat. Cook until meat is boiled, then remove from heat.
