HYPNOSIS FOR CLINICAL PRACTICE

In this four hour presentation, the student will learn what hypnosis is, how we use it and how it benefits clients. We begin with the proposition that all hypnosis is self hypnosis. The hypnotherapist may facilitate the trance, but it is the listener who creates the hypnotic experience. The hypnotherapist's role is to facilitate the hypnotic experience with a variety of individuals. Using a style of induction that both matches the listener's individual style and is particularly non-directive, conscious resistance to change is bypassed as a more direct pathway into the unconscious is created. Included in the class will be the creation of scripts for general relaxation, habit control, weight loss and sleep.
