Answers: Thank you so much for writing. If I could change one aspect of our society through my work, I would love to be able to reach out to our youth about the dangers of violence and drugs. I believe that children need to be taught respect and loving others as well as the golden rule, treating others the way you would like to be treated. I hope that I can be remembered for trying to help everyone I know that is in need. I believe that it is the responsibility of others to take care of our society and community. I hope to leave a lasting good impression on all the people I have encountered throughout my life. |

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? Please explain your choice. 8. If your creative works had an odor, what do you think they would smell like? Why?
I don’t think I’m creative, I just love to sing. God has blessed me with a voice and I use it to open my listener’s eyes and hearts. My mom sang, my aunts, and my grama, singing is in my blood. I would not change anything I’ve done because everything I’ve done I’ve done it for God. The lord is my light and my salvation. I’ve never doubted my talents but I’ve doubted my looks. I’m a big, strong, black woman and proud about it now, but growing up I was teased, and had low self esteem. Many people told me I wouldn’t make it as a singer because of my looks but the support of my family kept me going. And now, I’m here!! I’m a singer, regardless of what those haters said.lol. I had entered a talent show in high school, and loss. I sang way better than the winner, but she was BEAUTIFUL (I can’t even lie). I didn’t want to sing anymore after that because I felt like my looks would hinder me but that evening my grama had a nice long talk with me and gave me the motivation I needed. I never stopped singing after that. If me and you were to trade places I would have to tell you that I hate cats. I think I hate them so much I convinced myself that I’m allergic to them..haha. My them song would have to be “Jesus let me touch you” by Kirk Franklin. That song is so encouraging, whenever I’m down or having a bad day I just sing it or play it. If I could live anywhere I would live on a beach off the coast of some far away island with no one there but my family and close friends. We wouldn’t work at all and just chill all day. If my work had a smell it would smell like a Thanksgiving Day a “Big Mama’s” house, because it feeds the soul. |
