Interviewing Creative People

Text Box:   Interview with web designer Jeff Davis

When was the first time that you remember realizing that you are a creative person?
Man, probably back when I was a small child. I used to be lost in my imagination all the time, I would doodle crazy little things and write short stories.

Do believe that your training has influenced what you create?
Most certainly. While my ideas are still mine, and I still make what I want to, knowing how to better create them has opened a whole new world of possibilities for me.

Have you ever felt that your personal expectations have limited your creativity? If so, how have you dealt with this?
Unfortunately, all the time. I always find myself having a good idea, but I get frustrated with the output not being of high enough quality, so I end up doing very little at all. Normally, I try to step back and look for a good source of inspiration.

.Have other people supported or inspired you? Please explain.
Gosh, countless times. I often see a drawing or set of drawings that give me ideas for my own works, or awesome design ideas that make me want to make new webpages and the like. As for support, I have friends and colleagues who are always giving me strong suggestions to improve my work.

Do you ever feel that you have to censor your creativity because you don't want to offend anyone?
Well, offending people is such a touchy topic. Personally, I don't give a damn what people think about my work. On a more professional level, however, such an attitude won't get you many clients. So I'd say it's a split answer. Yes to my professional work, most certainly no to my personal.

Text Box: Interview with creative genius Tamas Revesz
Thank you for finding me. Creative genius sounds so great that I should disseminate it...
I am just a sensitive photographer with a sack of empathy and ideas.
1. When did you know that this was what you wanted to do with your life? How did you get started?
I begun photographing in high school won a few prize but basically photojournalism was my goal. Discovering and telling important social questions.

2. Does your work convey a specific emotion or message?
I hope yes and critics say that people is emotionally moved by some of my images. Emotion is a great part of my work and myself.

3. What are your words of wisdom for someone starting out in your field?
Think twice before starting any "non-measurable" profession. You have to be very sure that you have something special to say.
And even if you are extraordinary you need at least the same amount of luck surviving the "starving artist" being.
