This course is an alternative to the Fieldstudy/Internship requirement. First offered in Spring 2011, this course will involve an exploration of the job market, your skills, and your preparation to match the two. Throughout, the course will emphasize the application and appreciation of various aspects of your sociological training – including data collection, statistical analysis, and reflection on the practice of sociology (rather than its terms, claims, and achievements).
