| The following are a few of my favorite websites. I find that they not only contain excellent information on health and nutritional issue but also provide marvelous links to other sites: Enjoy!
Weston A Price Foundation The Weston A Price Foundation is an organization dedicated to disseminating and continuing the work of Weston A. Price, a dentist, who wrote a book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration reporting on the detailed observations he made comparing the general health of people who ate their traditional diets and those who had been introduced to 'civilized' processed foods. He found that people who ate traditional foods were in general healthier, with better bone structure and superior teeth (little or no dental caries, etc.) Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation Through the dissemination of the ancestral wisdom practiced by pre-industrial societies, and through modern scientific validation of the principles of sound nutrition, the Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation (PPNF) provides guidance for the reversal of modern "civilized" dietary trends that promote disease and physical & mental degeneration. This site is similar to the Weston A. Price site. Dr. Joseph Mercola hosts a website that features a weekly newletter chock full of articles and links to the latest medical and nutritional research. He also recommends a restricted carbohydrate diet. Dr. Stephen Byrnes Dr. Byrnes has a website that also features an online newsletter concerning all kinds of health and nutritional issues. Paleo-Diet Homepage The Paleo-Diet homepage provide one with links to with a multitude of other sites concerning either paleolithic and/or low carb diets. Dr. Robert Atkins Homepage This is the official website of the Atkins Center that explains the good doctor's low carb eating plan in great detail. It also provides references to scientific articles that support the basic eating plan. PubMed This is the search engine for the National Library of Medicine. It provides citations and or abstracts (and sometimes links) to over 11 million journal articles on health topics.
