One Hundred and One

 

One hundred and one ways to say I love you

And I’ve never said a word

One hundred and one ways to say I hate you

And I wouldn’t dare utter a word

Unfortunately, some would say,

The former would be the worse

I disagree

How many ways can you

Show you care

Say you care

Mean you care

I bet it’s close to a hundred and one

My mind and heart would love to share

Unfortunately, I would say

The staples in my mouth are stronger than the staples in  my heart
