Places and Things

Restaurants:

Real Food Daily-By far my favorite restaurant, all vegan food, organic, very classy                                         but also classic, many gluten-free dishes

California Vegan-organic vegan dishes, diner style, reasonable prices, great Chinese

                                    food selection

Granville Café-casual gourmet, great food, peaceful atmosphere

During the Day:

Huntington Library-art collections and botanical gardens, high tea everyday, very

                                    relaxing

LA Farmers Markets– there are many farmers markets in LA to buy fresh produce

and more.  Check out the one nearest you.

At night:

Ganghis Cohen-Chinese restaurant with live music on the weekends, a must see

The Silent Movie Theatre-all silent movies, a great way to live the old days

Sins O’ The Flesh-one of LA’s best Rocky Horror Picture Show casts, original cast

members from the movie occasionally appear

Know of any places that you recommend and are not up here?  Email me and I’ll check them out.

Day or weekend trips:

Central Coast– I grew up in Arroyo Grande near Pismo Beach and San                                   Luis Obispo, about an hour north of Santa Barbara.  I                                        recommend visiting to get out of the city for a little bit.

CA missions– some of these are local, but some would have to be weekend

                           trips.
