Improved Euphoria

But they do change.

(A slightly myopic view on life, society, and the games we play.)

Recent News:

August 4 21:55 -Insert title here-

Well I am getting the CAX writeup done as I type this however with the photos I am adding it's taking time. I'm putting up a text only and and photo/text version. Expect it late tomorrow night. (Maybe.) I have fixed all of the broken nav bars as well as some miscellaneous changes here and there.

I want to say a large 'hello' to everybody coming in. I had a long but mostly uneventful weekend in sunny San Diego. But I am now ready for another three weeks of peaceful work before the next onslaught of school and classes begin. Now all I have to do is get my classes. -hmmmmm.

July 26 17:08 Note

The link to the family page on the horizontal nav bar is bad. Yes I know about this and it is being fixed but it'll take time to do. You can use the vertical bar or click here. Family

Yes I do know that the tab settings on the Left handed report are all messed up but three attempts to fix it have so far failed. I am still working on it.

July 26 16:48 Tick-toc tick-toc

Managed to make a lot of small changes to my site. I updated all the pages with the new nav bar. No more of that icky frame from the old site. I put up my little paper on Left Handedness.

I've got more news but not the time so look for a little something later on. Ciao.

July 23 20:20 The end of sectarian violence

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. That's right folks, no updates out this way for a little bit mostly because of the long, long hours at work. But I am mostly sure that none of you really want to hear me complain about work. (I'll just save that for some other time.)

Greetings go out to Dale Nielson who managed to drop me a line from out in the middle of the real world.

In related news I managed to grab the research paper I did up in my Society and Culture class on the oppression of the left handed. I'll be reviewing in and posting it in The Literary Corner here in a few days. (Alright, I got an A on the paper but the only comment the professor puts on the entire paper was, 'well done.' Of course this infuriated me to no ends and I still have doubts on the quality of the paper. Let this be a lesson to all of you.)

I also found out that Robert Jordan's next book in the Wheel of Time series, The Path of Daggers will be out in hardback in November. It's about time too. For those of you into the fantasy/fiction genres should all give Jorden the once over.

July 7 20:15 Grateful Evil Dead

Alright. I finally got in my copy of Sam Raimi's great movie The Evil Dead! This thing was really hard to find. (Well it was pretty hard to find.) A lot of the movie scenes were filmed with too little light and the audio levels jumped sometimes from scene to scene, but it is of Raimi's earliest films. Bruce Campbell looks as young as ever. Did you know that this classic gore fest won the best picture award at Cannes way back in '81 when it came out? It's quite a treat.

Just thought that I'd post the results of the last official FQA test I had from my parents. (For those of you not in the 'know', the FQA is the Food Quantity and Availability test.) Well, while I did quite well on the refrigerator and pantry portions I did get points deducted for having food particles on the floor, table, and counters. All in all the comments were positive, "I'm impressed," was especially repeated. I guess that is one less illusion that I have to maintain for my parents. Now that they know I have food I can't get away with the tired, hungry, stressed college kid routine. (I still have the disillusioned,over-worked, unrewarded, college kid routine as backup though. Hee hee.)

Well, the car is officially Matador Federal Credit Union's. That's right and they are gonna let me borrow the car for the next four years or until I pay of the loan. -sigh- Just one more step towards an early retirement as an independently wealthy self-employed computer consultant. Hmmm. Maybe.

It takes a little bit of time to digital re-master all the photos I am putting up on my site so it'll still be a while longer. Basically no news to report here.

July 5 20:16 Maybe. . . Maybe not

Well I am having trouble connecting to Fortune City for now and in the meantime I have all the pictures, (Uh about four of them) up on the CSUN server. It looks like I might not need the extra room on the Fortune City site. More information on that coming up soon.

July 5 19:10 Time for some changes

As you can see I am in the process of changing the layout around here. It's gonna be a bit before I get things whipped into shape. If you have any suggestions on changes to be made just send them to my attention.

For those of you who might not have heard yet I have finally gotten a new/used car. Head over to the family page for a few looks.

Still doing a lot of work out here in real life so the update will not be rapid or thorough.

June 30 22:09 Now in wide release

Just in case anyone out there was not in the know my brother graduated from the Utah College of Massage Therapy today. So I went ahead a drew up a page to congratulate him on it. Head over to the newly minted Family page and take a gander.

Yes I am placing up a little family page where I can track the latest goings on and give me a good excuse to find out what the latest goings on are.

June 28 20:59 Mapping concentric realities

I think that the first bit of news up here is that I am now back up on nternet with a mostly working computer. All that really means is that I am out of excuses not to update my page and have started to deed again. For those of you out of the loop on this one I had terrible computer problems a month or so ago that put my web-page career to a halt. Finals happened at the same time so I didn't rush to get the machine operational and I just put off getting it all fixed. I would explain more but I have even managed to bore myself so I'll cut this one short.

If you want the real skinny on what I've been up to head out to my Rants/Rave section.

I moved into my new apartment a few weeks back and things were good. I woke up this morning and I still had boxes that hadn't been unpacked yet. Things were bad. I got frustrated and began a massive, (For me anyway.) cleaning job that moved my apartment from just my apartment into David's Crib O' Love. (With extra emphasis on the loovvee.) Yeah it's not too bad but things are getting better.

I'm getting into that picture posting mood so look out for some bandwidth hogging pictures of, well, I haven't figured that part out yet, but I'm in the mood. So look out.
