Attend Job Fairs every semester to make contacts and gain insight into types of opportunities recruiters offer - attend a Job Fair Success Workshop first!
Evaluate ability and interest in MIS and related coursework.

Locate an internship for senior year. Develop a plan to identify additional MIS skills that are not taught in CSUN courses. Look at JOBTRAK job descriptions. Click on "Smart Career Moves" on the Career Center homepage.

Develop Resume and Cover Letter - have critiqued at Career Center

Attend Tech Fest & Job Fairs
Use Summer to Register for On Campus Interview process with Career Center -submit resumes in August

Clarify your goals and criteria for ideal job
Submit Resume and Cover Letters to appropriate firms, government agencies & companies through InterviewTRAK
Interview on and off campus
Write thank-you and follow-up notes
Attend Fall Job Fair - Attempt to link with target company by doing an internship or part-time job
Begin / Continue INTERNSHIP
