MonsterTRAK – look under internships of all kinds, not just MIS listings
Look at part-time job listings – use to get a foot in the door
with any company with a large MIS department. Remember
your degree is actually in Business Administration – a broader door-opener –
and your technical skills will be valued everywhere!
InterviewTRAK – companies occasionally do On Campus Interviews for Internships.
Registering with InterviewTRAK will also give you access to all campus
interview opportunities, which may provide leads to companies who are
looking for new employees and might be persuaded to create an internship slot.
Job Fairs – attend every one and “sell” yourself as a volunteer, intern, project coordinator to attractive Companies.
Research ahead any companies listed as seeking interns or even full-time MIS
Volunteer – almost any nonprofit organization need technical help and cannot afford it.
Use the Volunteer Program and the Internship Program at CSUN to obtain leads
MISA – contact any employer who advertises openings of any kind thru MISA.
Also let others know you are looking, they may give you leads.
CSUN Alumni – Keep connected with MISA members and other classmates who are graduating.
MISA should try to develop a strong Alumni/Mentor Program.
