If you are looking for some stimulating articles to read in the area of general philosophy, I highly recommend:

  • Arts & Letters Daily Collection of links to excellent articles and links to other sources of information dealing with philosophy and literature.

  • The New York Review of Books Book reviews that include studies of or by contemporary philosophers -- a search of the Review's archives for names like Ronald Dworkin, Thomas Nagel, Richard Rorty, John Searle, or Peter Singer will deliver many worthwhile articles.

  • American Humanist Association Under the link "Learn more about Humanism" are essays defining and defending the humanist way of life.

  • The Philosophers Magazine Subscription magazine, but explore the many free online articles in the "Articles" column, and try some of the games in the "Fun and Games" column; e.g., to see how consistent your philosophical views are, take the Philosophical Health Check if you dare!
