From the beginning of my teaching career at CSUN in 1964 until my retirement in 2000, I sponsored the Student Philosophy Club. Under my sponsorship, philosophy students and their friends met several times a semester in some member's home to discuss whatever topics they wished. The meetings were meant to be fun and to give beginning students a chance to use their philosophical skills on topics of their own choosing without having to worry about credits or grades.
