Dr. Jacob Enfield is an Assistant Professor of New Media in the Multimedia Option of the CTVA department. Jacob earned his Ph.D. in Instructional Systems Technology department at Indiana University, his M.S. in Educational Technology at CSU Fullerton, and his B.S. in Secondary Education at Kansas State University. His research focuses on game-based learning and effective educational game design. His broader research interests include how any form of digital media can be used to improve learning.
Jacob has been an educator since 2000. He has taught mathematics and computer science both at the middle school and high school level. During his doctoral program, Jacob taught courses at the community college and university level ranging from technology courses for pre-service teachers, to Flash and PHP courses, to instructional game design and development courses. Jacob currently teaches production courses in the CTVA department.
