Nominations Form - Due in Sacramento on February 9th by 5:00 p.m.

As a member of CSEA, you may nominate yourself to the elected position of CSEA General Council Delegate.

The General Council (GC) convention is scheduled to be held September 3 through September 7, 2009 in downtown Los Angeles. At this convention, elected Delegates will participate in the governance of CSUEU and CSEA, which will include debating and voting on resolutions affecting how CSEA and CSUEU operate, and adopting budgets for both organizations.

The duties of GC Delegates include attending the General Council conventio in September and acting as a liaison between the Chapter and the General Council. Each CSUEU Chapter receives one delegate per 100 members or major fraction thereof.

Delegates are elected by and from the members of the Chapter.The term of office for Delegates in 2009 is three years beginning with the General Council meeting in September, 2009. The Chapter President is a delegate by virtue of holding the office of Chapter President. If you intend to run for the Chapter President position in 2009, you are still eligible to nominate yourself and run for GC Delegate, and are encouraged to do so.

Your nomination form must be received at CSUEU, 1108 “O” Street, Suite 500, Sacramento, CA 95814 no later than 5:00 p.m. on February 9, 2009. Postmarks and late forms can not be accepted.GC Delegate ballots will be mailed to CSUEU members in April.
