What is it? - The Membership Drive occurs for a specific period of time. During this time, Fee Payers are encouraged to join via incentives -- raffle prizes and a "Membership Gift."
How much more will you pay to become a Dues Member? - Currently, as a Fee Payer, you pay fees that equal 0.992% of your monthly salary. As a Dues Member, you would pay 1% of your monthly salary. For an additional 0.008%, you can receive the full benefits of membership PLUS be entered into our monthly drawings. How much of a difference is this in $$ and ¢¢? When is it? - The Membership Drive is from August 1st thru October 31st.
Who can participate? - Although Fee Payers are the only ones who can join, Dues Members can also participate and be eligible for prizes.
Why should individuals join or participate? - Fee Payers who join during this time period, receive the same benefits that other Dues Members receive. To see a list of these benefits, click here. In addition, during this time period, new members will receive a raffle ticket for our monthly drawing AND a "Membership Gift." The individual (Fee Payer or Dues Member) who recruited the new member will also receive an entry. Each month during the Drive (August, September, October), $50 will be raffled. Entries will also roll over into the subsequent months. The sooner you join, the higher the odds. At the end of the Drive, the individual who recruited the most new members will receive $60.
Where is it occuring? - This Membership Drive is occuring at the statewide level. All 24 chapters of CSUEU are participating.
How do individuals join? - Joining is easy!!!! Just fill out the application and return it to Claudia Garcia as indicated on the form. Please make sure NOT to mail it to Sacramento since it may take a few months before we are notified of the submission. Make sure to include the name of the individual who recruited you so that they receive an entry.
