Annotated Bibliographies of Web Resources: Cruises

I decided to do my annotated bibliographies on cruise websites because one day I hope that will take a cruise vacation. I decided to leave out cruise companies websites because it would not be too helpful to decide what cruise company is better since they each claim to be the best cruise company. Here are my five sites! Check them out, please!

Cruise.com Cruise.com. http://www.cruise.com/ (April 18, 2006).

This website is really useful because they have a search engine where you can choose the destination, cruise line, month, or number of days you would like your cruise to be. Here is also a cruise port search available. There is also a section where you shop by destination. Under each destination pictures and video is provided. It makes me want to go on a cruise right now.

Cruise411 Cruise411. http://www.cruise411.com/. (April 18, 2006).

This website is set up a lot like the Cruise.com website, it also has a search engine where you can choose the destination, month, cruise line, and cruise length. What is also interesting about this website is under the cruise lines section they have a picture and listing of all the boats of that cruise line which is kind of neat to look at. You can you are going to call home for a few days before you even go on the cruise.

Cruise @ddicts Cruise @ddicts. (April 10, 2006) http://www.cruise-addicts.com/index.php. (April 18, 2006).

This website is different from the rest of the websites a definite much see! It provides up to date new on cruise new around the world. This could be information about new cruises or information regarding an incident that occurred on a cruise ship. This website also provides cruise reviews which are written by fellow cruisers. This can be very informative information. The site also has a section called the cruise tracker where you can list the cruise you are planning to go on and meet others that are planning to take the same cruise. So you know people before you even step on to the boat!

VacationsToGo.com VacationsToGo.com. http://www.vacationstogo.com/index.cfm. (April 18, 2006)

Like many sites VacationsToGo.com has information regarding the cruise lines, ships and ports. Under cruise ships it has detailed information on the ship including its size, year it was built, how many cabins, and of course includes the information about services and amenities, fitness and sports facilities and cabin features and amenities. It even has deck plans for the boats. It is a very comprehensive report on each ship. This site has a big section on single cruise so if you that person who is looking to meet that special someone on a cruise this site has your guide to a lot of single cruises.

CruiseReviews.com CruiseReviews.com. http://www.cruisereviews.com/ (April 18, 2006).

CruiseReviews.com solely dedicates itself to reviews of cruises. It provides a list of cruise lines and reader reviews of their experiences on their cruises. What is kind of neat is that they have also compiled the most comprehensive reviews of certain cruises so instead of have to look through tons of reviews you can read the best one right off the bat. They also provide port reviews through their sister site PortReviews.com.
