  Dr. Mingfang Li served as the program co-chair of 2007 Strategic Management International Forum at the Guanghua School of Management of Peking University on July 2 and 3, 2007.
  China's foreign exchange reserves exceeded $2.4 trillion dollars by January  2010. 
  China's  current-account surplus fell sharply in 2009, dropped to $284.1 billion, down by about a third from  $426.1 billion in  2008. The main driver of lower current account surplus was the shrinking of China's trade surplus to $249.3 billion in 2009, from $368.7 billion in 2008,

 

 

.China's GDP growth improved to 8.7% in 2009.

  Chinese yuan rose against US dollar in 2007 and 2008. The exchange rate of Chinese yuan (CNY) against US dollar is 6.8282 CNY/USD on February 5, 2010.
  China auto sales grew at  45% in 2009 from 2008. China's auto sales surpassed the U.S. in 2009 with 10.3 million  passenger car sales and 13.6 million vehicle sales. 

 

 

Shanghai A-Share Composite Index hit a record at 6092.06 points on October 16, 2007.  China's stock market has been on a bullish run since the market hit an eight-year low of 998.22 points in mid 2005. .However, the index closed at 2939.40 points on February 5, 2010.

   
  China's central bank, People Bank of China  raised the yield from its weekly sale of three-month central bank bills  to 1.3684 percent in January 2010.
   

China's Nasdaq-style stock market, ChiNext Exchange  was launched on October 30, 2009.  Fifty companies have been listed in the ChiNext by the end of January, 2010.
