Welcome to the website of the Department of Civil Engineering & Applied Mechanics at California State University Northridge. I hope that you will find interesting and exciting information about our programs.
The Department offers programs leading to undergraduate and graduate degrees. Undergraduate students may select the civil engineering or construction management technology curriculum option to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree. We take great pride in the fact that we provide our students with the needed skills and knowledge to respond to today's engineering and construction challenges.
The Department's 8 full time faculty members offer courses which focus on civil engineering application and design in the area of structural engineering and mechanics, and in construction management. Our faculties are dedicated to providing the highest quality education to students, to instill the importance of life-long learning and professional development, and to inspire responsibility, integrity and ethics. A strong system of advising, mentoring and tutoring ensures that our students successfully progress through the curriculum.
