Security Camera Systems
If you are out of home often, you may be thinking of getting additional security for your home. If you are, then Security Camera Systems are the way to go, since they are becoming more efficient and easily available on the market as well as cheaper by the day. Apart from the obvious reason of security, the CCTV cameras can be used to monitor the behavior of workers/students and even animals, anywhere that behavior needs to be monitored (prisons?). Also, they are a great help to parents wanting to keep an eye on their toddler.
Interior cameras
Interior cameras are the easies to install among the variety of security camera systems available on the market today. This is because of the obvious reason that they do not need to be weather proof; hence they are smaller in size, and lightweight than outdoor units. Hidden cameras are a great way to monitor your home while you are away. It was recently discovered by a parent that a babysitter constantly raised her hands on their baby while they were away – they caught her in the act on a hidden CCTV system. Of course they had it installed after their suspicions grew. Apart from being lightweight and cheap, interior cameras are also the easiest to install.
Wireless Interior Cameras
Wireless Interior Cameras are really catching on of late. Although they may be a wee bit more expensive than the older versions, the time and effort they save you really make up for that. Obviously you do not need to have wiring installed all over your house to use these models. They have the added advantage of you being able to place them on various location on various occasions. The wireless CCTV systems consist of a transmitter unit (housing the camera) and a receiver unit with antennae. The receiver needs to be plugged in to your television or monitor, and the transmitter unit has to be placed wherever you want it to, within the specified radius, that’s it! Some wireless security camera systems even come with portable LCD monitors, so you are not restricted to a television or monitor area while you are keeping an eye on whatever you are keeping an eye on!
The pan, tilt and zoom models!
Imagine the subject you are monitoring, say - a baby, is crawling just out of the frame of your camera’s field of view. Do you hit the panic button and run over to the room? Well, if you don’t have a close circuit camera with pan, tilt and zoom controls, yeah! Security camera systems offering these added controls have really given the user far more power to monitor a subject than ever before. The receiving unit comes with a joystick type controller that allows you to pan and till and zoom in and zoom out as you please. Now that’s what we call using technology to improve and ease your lifestyle!
