TO ACCESS YOUR COURSE, go to this link:  https://webwork.csun.edu/  .

(Then click on Chris Spengel .)

Your login ID is the “name” I gave you in class.

Your password is your NINE-digit CSUN student ID (which you can change once you log in).

To get started:

Click on “Begin Problem Sets”.

Select the problem set (click on “Set 0”), then “Do Problem Set” or “Get Hardcopy”.

You will see a list of problems, Problem 1 through Problem 7.

Click on Problem 1 to highlight it, then click on “Get Problem”.

Try to follow the directions.  Remember, this is a get-acquainted with the software/procedures exercise, and does not count.  Also, it’s a little strange because you are not really trying to get the right answers on this in some of the problems.  So when you follow the directions, it will tell you that you have errors.  But we need to start somewhere, and this is it.

Also note:  IF you let the keyboard be idle too long, you will be logged off by the system.

After you have completed any Problem, you can click on “Next” for the next problem, or

you can go back to the selection page and select another, then click on “Get Problem”.

You can also print out a hard copy of the problem set, in one of four formats.

Notice there are other options, such as the choice of Display Mode:

Display Mode:

plainText                      The main difference between “plaintext” and “images” is the appearance
images
of mathematical expressions.
jsMath
If you don't have the TeX math fonts installed, you’ll be warned against this.
