The CGS annually awards scholarships to college and university geography students to further their education. In addition, cash awards are offered to K-12 and higher education students for outstanding paper or map presentations at the annual meeting
The CGS also presents awards to honor outstanding pedagogy to teachers in K-12 and to college professors and instructors.
