Lodging Information

 

While there is generally no "official" conference hotel, each year the California Geogrpahical Society attempts to secure a hotel as a preferred site, so everyone can get a nice room at a discounted price.

This year we have selected the Holiday Inn express in Solvang as the conference hotel. Information on this and other lodging options can be found below.

Lodging Options

 

Conference Hotel

For many, the conference hotel is the most convenient option for those spending one or two nights at the conference.

The Holiday Inn Express in Solvang is this year's conference hotel. We have have "blocked" 60 rooms, which provides preferential booking arrangements at a discount for conference attendees. The deadline to reserve a room with confidence is March 17th, after that date they will open reservations to the public.

Other Lodging Options

Conference attendees who wish to select another hotel (and there are many) should still make their reservations early.  Solvang and Los Olivos are weekend getaways for the masses and popular for weddings, bike races, wine events, etc.

There are a number of popular websites that may help you search for lodging options. Consider sidestep.com
