- The Geography and Environmental Studies Department at California State University, San Bernardino is seeking a full-time 9-month Lecturer to teach core courses in Global Studies and Social Sciences that specialize in International Geographical and Social Studies. Depending on candidate qualifications, a one-year to three-year appointment, beginning September 2010.
Required qualifications: Ph.D. in a related discipline, experience teaching Model United Nations and Model Arab League courses and leading student teams to such events, ability to cover both undergraduate and graduate courses in Social Sciences including Nonwestern World, Seminar in Social Science, and Arab World. Preferred candidates will be expected to meet the traditional requirements of excellence in teaching.
Deadline and Application Process: Review of applications will begin July 15, 2010 through July 30, 2010. Submit Vita, three letters of recommendation and a letter of application that includes statement on teaching philosophy and strategies, together with student evaluations if available.
