PERMISSION NUMBERS CAN ONLY BE ISSUED FOR OPEN CLASSES
- Students repeating course(s) must wait to enroll until the first day of class (on a space-available basis), however repeating students are encouraged sign up on the waitlist for BUS 302, BLAW 308, FIN 303, MKT 304, MGT 360, or SOM 306.
You qualify for a permission number for:
- BUS 302 and/or BUS 302L if you have completed all lower-division business core and attempted to add the class but SOLAR will not let you register
- BLAW 308, FIN 303, MGT 360 and/or MKT 304 if you have completed all lower-division business core AND completed or have co-registered for BUS 302 AND BUS 302L first but SOLAR will not let you register
- SOM 306 if you have completed SOM 120, MATH 140, or SOM 391
- Your registration date has already passed
- If you are currently completing the last prerequisites at a community college (Fall 2009 or Winter 2010), you will need to sign-up on the waitlist until your final grades are posted.
REGARDING TRANSFER CLASSES: Any students transferring prerequisites from another college or university MUST SHOW A FINAL GRADE before permission number(s) can be issued. Courses completed PRIOR TO SUMMER 2009 MUST SHOW ON THE DPR.
STUDENTS WITH COURSES COMPLETED BEFORE SUMMER 2009 BUT NOT OFFICIALLY TRANSFERRED TO CSUN BY SPRING 2010 REGISTRATION CANNOT RECEIVE A PERMISSION NUMBER. THE COURSES MUST BE TRANSFERRED TO CSUN IMMEDIATELY AND PERMISSION NUMBERS WILL BE ISSUED ON A SPACE-AVAILABLE BASIS ONCE PREREQUISITES SHOW ON THE DPR.
Bring a completed prerequisite verification form and supporting documentation (DPR, community college transcript, or approved substitution form) highlighted to show fulfillment of prerequisites to JH 3109. Courses currently IP at a community college do not meet the prerequisite. Transfer courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher. Permission numbers are not available during priority registration for students repeating a course.
Permission Number Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 9am-6pm
Friday: 8am-4pm
Forms received after these hours will be processed the next day.
During the "Registration by Appointment" period (November 9 - December 9), permission number requests will not be processed on the following days: November 11, 12, 13, 26, 27, and 30 due to furloughs and holidays. Students in need of a permission number with an assigned registration appointment on any of these dates should contact the office on November 10th (for registration on November 11-13) and November 25th (for registration on November 26-30) to ensure timeliness of registration.
