Our Mission

Ballet Folklórico Aztlán at California State University, Northridge is a student dance organization whose focus is educating the community about the rich Mexican culture through dance.

BFA Profile

Ballet Folklórico Aztlán de CSUN is an organization originally chartered at the Chicano Students Department at California State University, Northridge. We are a dedicated group that presents the colorful dances from different regions of Mexico.

Our group is mainly integrated by CSUN students, however, we welcome all community participants who just as us, are interested in learning more about Mexican folkloric dance and its roots.

As a professional group, BFA performs at different social and community events. We also organize an annual music and dance concert, Folklor de México, which encompasses music, theatre, pre-Hispanic and folkloric dances from Mexico.

We look forward to sharing with you the values, tradition, and joy of the Mexican folkloric dance!
