Registration and Participation Requirements

All participants are required to in the Fitness Center Sales office before
they play their first game.

The following is a list of information you are required to furnish when
you come to register:

CSUN ID card (No drivers license)

Current class schedule or registration card
-
Money - cash (exact change) or credit card (sorry No checks)
-
Men $25.00 - Women $15.00
-
If you do not have this information when you go to register, you will not
be allowed to register.
NO ID NO PLAY
-
Each participant must bring their CSUN ID card, with proper sticker on
it, to all games in order to participate.
-
If your ID is lost or stolen it is your responsibility to replace it before
your game.

NO EXCEPTIONS
-
Driver's license or yellow slips will not be allowed
-
Yellow slips are your receipt and should be used as proof to get a replacement
sticker for half price.
Contest Structure
-
Contest will consist of one 12-minute half.
-
The clock will stop only in the last 1-minute of the game.
-
In the event of an overtime, a 1-minute stop clock overtime period will
be played. (this rule only applies to playoff games.)
Number of Players
-
5on5 - 4 players and a goalie.
Starting the Game
-
Game starts with both teams at their goal and the ball in placed in the
middle of the pool.
-
When the whistle blows the two teams race to the middle of the pool to
get the ball.
Violations
-
Following all violations (two hands on the ball, fouls, etc.), the next
play starts with the ball in the goalies hand.
Ball Possesion
-
Players are allowed to catch, pass and control the ball with only one hand.
-
Only the goalie is allowed to touch the ball with two hands.
-
In the last minute of the game, players are allowed only 5 seconds to have
possesion of the ball. Also there will be a 20-second shot clock in the
last minute of the game.
Timeouts
-
Each team is given 1-timeout for the game.
-
In the event of overtime, each is given 1 extra timeout.
Substitions
-
Players can only substitute after a goal, timeout or injury.
Uniforms
-
All teams should wear the same color t-shirts or some type of band around
their arms.
Team Fouls
-
Each team is allowed 10 team fouls before the penalty situation.
-
In a player is fouled in the 10' - 15' area, the next play will start at
the spot of the foul.
Penalty Shots
-
Penalty shots are taken from 10' & 15' area.
-
After the tenth team foul, the team fouled will be in the penalty situation
which means they will be given one penalty shot.
-
If fouled in the act of shooting, that player will be given 1-penalty shot.
Shots On Goal
-
All shots on goal must be taken from behind the 10 feet line.
-
Only the goalie is allowed in the 10 foot area.
