Text: Dummit and Foote.
Syllabus: Field theory and Galois theory, modules, modules
over PIDs, introduction to commutative rings (Noetherian rings,
Artinian rings, DVRs, etc.)
Exams: There will be a midterm exam, and a final exam. The
date
for the midterm exam will be announced at least one week in
advance.
The final is on Wedneday May 14th from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
