For this assignment I was fortunate to email a man who started his own clothing company, SAYiWONT, to help inspire people. He is also the web designer for his online clothing store. His company also created and maintains websites for professional athletes.
The following is our correspondence through email. I was able to ask him a few questions about his creativity and his web designing.
Q: How would you define creativity?
A: Creativity is something that you do that is outside yourself. It comes from a place that you would not normally use. To be creative you have to think outside the box.
Q: How do you decide what to put on your webpage?
A: I think it comes from a place of necessity. We try to give people things they need, like clothing and hats and then things they want, the stickers and accessories. We try to use creative ways to market our ideas in order to get people's attention.
Q: Has the attention of professional athletes and celebrities helped with your website construction and hits?
A: YES!!! Most definitely! I think we broadened our marketability. We now have access to a group of people who would normally not share our outlook on life. (Say I Won't, and I Will!) We can use the popularity of MJ on the Real World, and the Professional athletes to market to a whole new type of person. Also with some of them having their own websites that are created by me, I can use that publicity to help spread the word.
