Absences - If students are absent they are still responsible for the missed work. Students may get the assignments form the "assignment calendar" in the classroom. If a student is going to be out for more than a day please contact the school and pick up the work.

Books - All students are issued a sciecne textbook. Science textbooks can be kept in the classroom as long as thye are covered and labeled witht the student's name. Books must be taken home for homework.

Conferences - The middle school does not have set conference days, however teachers are happy to meet with you if you have questions or concerns. Please call the Rio Vista office 981-1507 to schedule an appointment.

Grades - How do I know how I'm doing? Click here for "Parent Access" and check your grades online.

Headings - All assignments must include a proper heading. Name (last, first), Date, Period, Assignment.

Homework - Homework is given three to four nights a week. Homework should be written in the students planner. For questions on homework you should contact someone from your buddy list. Check out these sites for some homework help. Homework Spot and Homework Center

Study Skills - Set aside a quiet place to work. Review your notes and assignments daily.

 


T

Tests - Tests are given at the end of each chapter and unit. To prepare for tests studemts should review their notes, past assignments and quizzes.

Tutoring - Ms. Murphy is available for tutoring before school from 8:15 am until 8:50 or after school by appointment.
