If you had to be any of these things, which would you like to be?
a) a member of the opposite sex, b) a clock, c) a pair of shoes, d) a duck

Please explain your choice.

I would be a duck. I like to swim.

Are you a fan of cartoons? If so, what is your favorite one?

Yes, I am. Some of my favorite cartoons are: The Simpson, South Park, Chicken Robot, and Family Guy

Have you ever been faced with negative feedback? How was this reflected in your work, if at all?

Yes, mostly about child safety, this is the big issue. Parents fear predators might pose as teenage boys and eventually molest their kids. We have a whole team devoted to this, to make the site safer. We provide safety tips and we are talking directly to law enforcement officials and legislators. We hired a chief safety officer who is a former prosecutor and worked for Microsoft for 10 years. We are leading the industry on the safety front.

Do you think that creativity is part of human nature or is it something that must be nurtured and learned? Please explain your answer.
I believe it can be both. You can be born with creativity and be brought up in an imaginative environment. You can also learn to be creative with experience and practice. However in the end I believe someone born with natural born talent will be better than someone who has learned to be creative.

What made you decide to follow a creative career choice (though possibly risky) rather than something more stable?
I just followed my heart and did what made me happy.

What is your inspiration? How has personal experience influenced your creativity?
My inspiration are listening and watching other artists do the same as me

What is your favorite creation? Please explain why you selected this one.
I love hearing back my music when it’s recorded for the first time.

What do you wish to accomplish with your art?
I’d love to share it with as many people as possible, so they can appreciate what I love to do.

How do you know when a piece or project is finished and needs no additonal work?
When I have no more ideas that can be added and I feel content and happy with what I have created.

Have you ever been faced with negative feedback? How was this reflected in your work, if at all?
Yes, all the time. It only makes me work harder and I try to learn from what I’ve done wrong.

What impact do you think that commercialism and the media has had on your work? Is this good or bad?
I feel that my quality of work comes better when I create my music with no strings attached and in an organic way. There have been times where I had to write a song for something specifically and I feel it takes away from the quality of the song.

Are you a fan of cartoons? If so, what is your favorite one?
I like the cartoons I grew up with; Scooby doo, anamaniacs, tiny toons, tom & Jerry, etc…

What is playing in your CD player/Ipod right now?
A lot of stuff!! Anything from Buddy Holly, Minor Threat, MIA, Alkaline Trio, Jimi Hendrix and lots more!

I
f you had to be any of these things, which would you like to be?
a) a member of the opposite sex, b) a clock, c) a pair of shoes, d) a duck

A duck!!! That way I can live on Tom Sawyers Island at Disneyland!

If you only had 24 hours to live, how would you spend your day?
I would have a BBQ at my house and invite every single family member and friend.
