All About Me!!

About Me:

My name is Allie Mojarradi and I am a senior at California State University, Northridge. I am majoring in psychology and I will be graduating fall of 2009. I plan to pursue a Masters in Social work (hopefully from USC) after I graduate from CSUN and become a licensed clinical social worker. I work on campus as the student assistant for JADE (Joint Advocates on Disordered Eating). I am also a peer educator and president for JADE.

I am 21 years old and my birthday is February 27, 1987 (I am a Pisces). My friends and family would describe me as ambitious, empathetic, optimistic, outgoing, easy going, and fun to be around. I am a dreamer and I tend to set high expectations for myself because I want to live my life to the fullest. If there is one thing that frustrates me, it would be that there are not enough hours during the day! There is so much I want to experience in my life and I hope I will have the opportunity to do so in my lifetime.

I enjoy many things. I love being outdoors and being active…I run, do Bikram yoga, surf, ski, and hike. I also love to walk. I love to travel and learn about different cultures and ways of life. In 2007 I participated in CSUN’s national student exchange program and had the opportunity to live on the Big Island of Hawaii for a year.  I have also had the opportunity to travel to Canada, Alaska, and Iran. I love to cook and try different ethnic dishes… I LOVE Persian food (maybe because I am Persian). I love to discover my creative talents. I have always had a passion for art, but have only recently pursued painting and photography… And I love it! I love expressing myself creatively because it allows me freedom and the opportunity to use my imagination to a degree to which I cannot in my everyday reality. My favorite creative website is www.rassouli.com. Please take the time to visit it. I take art classes from Rassouli to develop my ability to paint. I would love to spend more time painting, taking photos, and playing the piano. I also love spending time with my family and friends. I am a very social person and love to be around other people…Life is short and I try my best to enjoy every moment I spend with those I care about most.
